Going Raw for a Few Days...

So I decided to join Amanda in doing a mini-cleanse and detox with raw foods. We (Fred and I) started this morning with a strawberry smoothie, which included spinach, hemp hearts, almond milk and some plant based protein powder. One of my favorite raw, non-GMO, plant based protein powders is by Green Smoothie Girl - GSGLife.



For lunch it was a big chopped salad made with spinach, kale, celery, red onion, carrot, Brussels sprouts, baby bok choy, chopped almonds and goji berries. Dressing was a simple apple cider vinegar and olive oil vinaigrette.

Dinner is going to be some pineapple, celery and carrots with cashew 'cheeze' dip. I'm not that hungry so it should be fine. 

I'm soaking some quinoa so I can make a little salad with that too... maybe I will sprout them. Hmm...

And I found a recipe for some cauliflower 'popcorn' made in a dehydrator... I'm really thinking about trying it. It's on the Rawtarian website. I'll let you know how I like it.
