I'm starting to really feel sorry for people. There is so much conflicting and confusing health information out there by people who are supposed to be the authorities on diet. Today's front page of Yahoo Health had an article on the Top Weight Loss Foods for 2010. The foods were listed as follows - Full-fat Cheese, Pork Chops, Iced Coffees, Grapefruit, Apples, Eggs, Beans, Salmon, and Milk. Wow!
I am not making that up, they actually said minerals in pork chops can help lower prostate cancer. Some poor person is going to eat cheese and pork chops and think it's going to make them healthier because someone working for the meat and dairy industry paid to have animal products promoted as diet food!
The article also emphasised how much protein these animal foods would give you as if there is some kind of protein crisis going on in America. Look around! Everyone already eats these foods all the time and clearly the population is not getting healthier or losing weight.
To top it off Taco Bell has begun a "Drive thru diet" - unbelievable! How many people are that lazy and brainwashed that they think they can drive thru Taco Bell and have weight loss handed to them in a bag! Are we really that gullible now? Has anyone ever said their secret weapon to good health is fast food?! Don't forget to order a diet soda if you believe that one.
Please research diet and health for yourself, or better yet put it to the challenge. Try eating fruits and vegetables without all the meat and dairy and see how quickly your health and weight can get under control. Don't let slick advertising or fake "health benefits" of foods you clearly know are fattening fool you.
