Just One Thing...

I was asked a really good question today by a friend trying to make positive changes to her diet. Given her financial situation and hesitation to jump into a major diet change, she asked if there was just one thing I could recommend to her to do that would make the most impact what would it be. I thought of a million things from the alkaline water, to raw foods, to super foods, etc. but realizing most of that was out of her realm and wanting to give her something I thought she would stick to I suggested the green smoothies along with really cutting back on how much meat she ate.
All of us could benefit by just taking 5 minutes a day, a household blender, and some greens with fruit to make a smoothie. I would recommend starting out with a really simple blend of spinach, bananas, and strawberries. As you get more comfortable with that you can begin adding kale, chard, carrots, beets, pineapple, peaches, honey, maca, goji berries, bee pollen, cacao, chia seeds, flax, and any exiting fruit such as mangos. The health benefits of this simple thing each day are unmeasurable, so give it a try! You really can't mess it up, we're just talking veggies and water, have fun and experiment.
