Eat by color!

I have just come to realize how colorful my diet has become. I was recently invited to dinner at some dear friends home. Their meal was turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and biscuits. When I sat down I was literally overwhelmed by what they were eating. It was a full plate of white food, it was all colorless and dead!
I realize not everyone is ready to make a commitment to eating vegetarian, vegan, or raw. And I have known some vegetarians who didn't eat much better than the typical SAD diet. But if people would just try to add some raw, living foods to their diet they won't be disappointed. As I have been eating mostly raw a strange reality has developed. I had no intention of going 100% raw, I still wanted to enjoy the occasional pasta meal along with my raw plan. But as the days on raw go by I am finding my body will not cooperate. The best way I can describe it is that eating a cooked meal, even vegan, is like putting mud in your gas tank. I try to enjoy even a small cooked meal and my body makes it clear it is not happy. I would love to hear from anyone else if they have experienced this and if I should just consider my days of cooked food over.
